One thing I've been thinking of recently is that it would be nice to have a calendar application on my computer. Not a day planner application like the Outlook calendar, but something more like a reminder to empty and spray out the cat litter box on the last Saturday of the month or to update my resume every 6 months (because yesterday was the first day I touched my resume in 5 years).
Does anyone know of (or even better, have personal experience with) an application like that? I'd prefer freeware, but I'd be willing to spend 5-10 dollars on it.

I use Mozilla's Sunbird, it's free. :)

Thanks. Looks like it has potential, but the minimize to tray addins I've found aren't installing.

I haven't loaded any addons to my copy....I just use it as is.

So, do you leave it running all the time to pop up reminders or what? That's what I really want, something to remind me to do stuff that I need to do every X amount of time that I might otherwise forget about.

Yeah, I just leave it up once I start it so that it will remind me of appointments and stuff. If you run Thunderbird for email you could try out the Lightening. I just don't need that cause I don't need scheduling and stuff.

I use Rainlendar (http://www.rainlendar.net/cms/index.php) . It's a great bit of software. Very customizable.

That looks just about perfect for what I want to do. Thanks.
