This morning on twitter, I said I'd gotten bad news and asked for hugs. Many of you immediately sent me messages of hugs and good thots. I didn't want to air my sister's pain, but since she's made it public now, I know it's ok for me to tell you. My sister had a miscarriage this morning. She was more than 4 months along, so it was pretty devastating. She's still in the hospital. They have her on iv antibiotics for an infection. She's alternating between clinical acceptance (she's a nurse) and tears.

Thank you all for your unquestioning support. You are the best group of folks I've ever known.

Well this morning it appears the transmission on the Gwen!mom's car died. And of course we've had the tax refund money spent for a few weeks and have nothing in reserve. (like I wanted)

Finally got a month where I paid all my bills early, next check was going mostly into savings towards SDCC in July. And now the power supply on my computer is acting like it's going to die. The computer is shutting down in about 2 hour intervals. *sigh* At least I do have the money to replace the part. So much for planning ahead.

It's so frustrating when you actually balance your personal budget and then something pops up that throws it all out of wack. I've had that kind of week. Nothing happened that was a big deal, just five or six small annoyances that add up so that at the end of it all you want to turn your back on the world and escape to a desert island.

I know, it is very frustrating...so I went and got a pedicure instead of escaping to a desert island. So relaxing. LOL! I unplugged some USB devices to take some of the load off the power supply to see what happens. So for now it's running without shutting off. But I will have to order a supply very soon.

I'm a security custodian for my area at work, and someone forgot to set the alarm before locking the door. They didn't remember the combination and called me in, then when I was most of the way there, called me back to tell me they got it open so they could close up properly.

Yeah, can't wait until this month is over.
