I haven't decided yet about this show. Rush is an interesting character, but I am not sure how he's going to get off that planet. Without him the show would be rather uninteresting. Eli is the only other character that keeps me watching. I won't give up just yet!

I've only caught the first episode.I like the ship, and the deep space feel, but it seems rather lame.I need to catch a few more sodes before i criticize too much.I'm still watching SG-1 sodes on hulu.com.(i don't have cable anymore)

Tried Lexx, farscape, battlestar, and others and still waiting for an awesome sci-fi show.I think my expectations might be a bit high, maybe that's why i'm single...

Wait. This sounds like you're saying Farscape and BSG arent 'awesome sci-fi'. I cant be reading that right can I?
As far as SGU goes, I think you can safely skip most of whats been played of season 1 without missing much (if anything) of importance. Though episodes 8(Time) and 10 (Justice) are pretty darn good.

what the frell?!? okay i'm teasing but farscape is quite possibly the best sci-fi show of all time.

As for SGU well i like it tons and tons but its very different and i can see how its not hitting the traditional sci fi audience, still its by far the best SG of all the series well to me anyhow.

edited to add a small rant not directed at anyone just to the gods above

if they turn SGU into an Atlantis or Stargate prime. it'll be damn shame. if they go the safe way and just copy what has happened before. grumbles angrily. i mean i do like the other stargate shows, there always fun. but i love the analogy of these folks on a desert island in space just trying to get by. sorry end rant i know most people want space battles, and killer aliens.

To be honest boomer,i didn't watch enough farscape it put it down.I loved the 2-hr pilot to it.
I don't need battles,or aliens, but i hate soaps in space. I can watch 'guiding light' for that. Not saying SGU is one,it's survival based, which is cool (the stranded in deep space in an ancient ship part is awesome).I still have to catch another SGU besides the first,it seemed slow.
I just want thought provoking, creative episodes in whatever i watch.
