Wondering if anyone else on these forums had read this book. I picked it up in a coffee shop book swap shelf a dozen years back, thoroughly enjoyed it, and found that its not easy to find in print. I don't think its out of print though.

The book mixes a little sci-fi into a mostly fantasy tale, and there's a lot of things I find really interesting in it. You have a conflict between two human races on a world that is hitting about the renaissance, coupled with a First Contact situation.

Don't know if I should go into more detail about this, or if I would get into spoiler land. Just wondering if anybody knew this book and wanted to talk about it.
