Being the procrastinator I am, it's the night before my biology survey is due. So if you'd like to answer or even just give BS answers. Sure I could make them up on my own but ...why not get real answers or even real fake answers.

This survey is made to understand the opinions of the public on genetics.
Answer yes or no to the following questions. (Except the first two)

1) What is your profession? Business, Food, Construction, Engineering, Other, None
2) What is your age group? 0-12, 13-17, 18-25, 26-35, 36-44, 45+
3) Do you know or understand what bioengineering is?
4) Do you believe that bioengineering babies is ok?
5) Do you believe that bioengineering gives us too much power ?
6) Do you know or understand what genetically modified food is?
7) Do you believe genetically modified food can be harmful?
8) Would you eat genetically modified food?
9) Do you think the United States should allow genetically modified food to be sold?
10) Do you believe that foods from genetically modified crops should go through human testing?
11) Do you know or understand what genotype is?
12) Would you mind if others knew what your genotype is?
13) Do you think cloning is a bad idea?
14) Would you ever get yourself cloned?
15) Do you think its right to clone animals if they are near extinction?
16) Would you want a clone that eats genetically modified foods that has a bioengineered child living in your house?

1) Other (Government/Postal Service
2) 26-35
3) Yes
4) No
5) Yes
6) Yes
7) Yes
8) Yes, if proven safe
9) Yes, if proven safe
10) Yes
11) Sort of (Didn't Colbert cover this one night)
12) Depends on who and why (or maybe just yes I would mind)
13) Yes (potentially reduces the gene pool, and I KNOW MY STAR WARS!)
14) No
15) Yes
16) I) The clone has a child? Wouldn't cloning itself be it's main method of reproduction?
II) Who is the clone of? If we're talking Grace Park's or Jewel Staite's clone (just as examples of course!) then sure. My clone-not so much.

1) What is your profession?
Other, student

2) What is your age group?
18-25

3) Do you know or understand what bioengineering is?
not really

4) Do you believe that bioengineering babies is ok?
If the parents of the baby to be bioengineered have no problem with it, then neither do I.

5) Do you believe that bioengineering could be “playing god?”
No

6) Do you know or understand what genetically modified food is?
Not really

7) Do you believe genetically modified food can be harmful?
Any food can be harmful. Food is already filled with pesticide and hormones.

8) Would you eat genetically modified food?
maybe

9) Do you think the United States should allow genetically modified food to be sold?
If it would help with the economy and is FDA approved, then yes.

10) Do you believe that foods from genetically modified crops should go through human testing?
Yes. I don't believe in testing on animals.

11) Do you know or understand what genotype is?
I think it's hereditary and non hereditary genes a person has.

12) Would you mind if others knew what your genotype is?
I think I would as this sounds like it's from a movie I once saw.

13) Do you think cloning is a bad idea?
no.

14) Would you ever get yourself cloned?
Maybe

15) Do you think its right to clone animals if they are near extinction?
I think that if we are unable to have the animals breed naturally and can stop poaching and actually have enough land, food and water for the animals without the cloned animals being social outcasts of whatever group they are a part of, then I would support it. But seeing how the animals would most likely be put into zoos or some other form of capitivity, then no.

16) Would you want a clone that eats genetically modified foods that has a bioengineered child living in your house?
That would depend: is said person drug & disease free, has no criminal record and a steady job? Then, yes. Or is the person a clone of my pot smoking slacker brother or someone similiar? then, no.

Answer yes or no to the following questions. (Except the first two)

1) What is your profession? Graphic Designer
2) What is your age group? 36-44
3) Do you know or understand what bioengineering is? Yes
4) Do you believe that bioengineering babies is ok? Okay as in allowable, yes. Would I do it personally? Having gone through the pregnancy to birth thing recently, I'll have to say, maybe to weed out some pretty nasty genetic disorders. But not to pick things like sex, eye & hair color and I.Q.
5) Do you believe that bioengineering gives us too much power ? No
6) Do you know or understand what genetically modified food is? Yes
7) Do you believe genetically modified food can be harmful? Not most, but some, probably
8) Would you eat genetically modified food? Probably already have.
9) Do you think the United States should allow genetically modified food to be sold? Sure, but only after much testing and full disclosure to the consumer
10) Do you believe that foods from genetically modified crops should go through human testing? We'd have to if we planned on selling it to the general populous, but only if it was proved safe enough in prior lab and animal tests to warrant it (Yes PETA, get ready)
11) Do you know or understand what genotype is? I got a Genotype? I think mine is Aries
12) Would you mind if others knew what your genotype is? I would mind if my health insurer knew.
13) Do you think cloning is a bad idea? Not once perfected
14) Would you ever get yourself cloned? Not for parts, but maybe to have a child without needing a partner. (You know most clones start out as babies, right?)
15) Do you think its right to clone animals if they are near extinction? Don't see a moral problem with it. But technically, it's only a stop-gap. The clones would have a bad go of breeding further. That would be the ultimate in inbreeding.
16) Would you want a clone that eats genetically modified foods that has a bioengineered child living in your house? You mean I could have one of those sheep, feed her some of that tainted, modified Chinese grain and then have her pop out a lamb with wool strong enough to scrub pots with if I wanted? Cool!

Hope that helps

Answer yes or no to the following questions. (Except the first two)

1) What is your profession? Business, Food, Construction, Engineering, Other, None
-Customer Service Rep in a Chemical Company (and have a Bachelors of Science with a double major in Biology and Wildlife Management
2) What is your age group? 0-12, 13-17, 18-25, 26-35, 36-44, 45+
-26-35
3) Do you know or understand what bioengineering is?
Yes
4) Do you believe that bioengineering babies is ok?
-No
5) Do you believe that bioengineering gives us too much power ?
-No, as long as it is used for the correct purposes
6) Do you know or understand what genetically modified food is?
-yes
7) Do you believe genetically modified food can be harmful?
-Yes, but it can also be helpful
8) Would you eat genetically modified food?
-Once we know a little more about the process and side effects
9) Do you think the United States should allow genetically modified food to be sold?
-Yes, as long as it is clearly marked and people have a choice. Again it would have to pass all of the FDA requirements and lots of research done
10) Do you believe that foods from genetically modified crops should go through human testing?
-Only if absolutely necessary. If we can find other ways to test it they should avoid putting humans at risk, but if there is no other way and the participants are aware it would OK
11) Do you know or understand what genotype is?
-Yes
12) Would you mind if others knew what your genotype is?
-No
13) Do you think cloning is a bad idea?
-Yes, to an extent, depends on what you are cloning and what the effects are. I don't think we know enough yet (at least publicly)
14) Would you ever get yourself cloned?
-No
15) Do you think its right to clone animals if they are near extinction?
-No, it will introduce to many issues. If the animal can be saved through breeding programs and traditional means, then they should go that way. If that is not possible, then unfortunately the animal should go extinct. I understand that in most cases it is the human's fault that many of these species is going instinct, but how to we know they would not have died out via natural selection anyway?
16) Would you want a clone that eats genetically modified foods that has a bioengineered child living in your house?
-I don't think it would matter to me, but I don't think we as a society know enough about how clones will react or genetically modified foods will do to a normal human or a clone to make a definitive decision

Send me PM if you need more clarification or name.

12- Yes
13- No (At least in the real-world practical uses that we currently use)
14- Well, not in the traditional "sci-fi" sense, because it's not like I would get another go at life if I did, but if I could clone a specific body part to save my life, then Yes.
15- If we (humans) are the primary cause of their extinction, then Yes.
16- lol; Sure.
