I have been watching the Home Shopping Network. I can't get into reality TV shows. They seem so scripted and manipulative. I'm not knockin' 'em, my wife watches Top Model, Project Runway, and Top Chef. I'm usually surfin the web at the time. But HSN is so hypnotic. The constant drone of sales people is so soothing. Product after product flashes on the screen while Joan (or whoever should be named Joan) pushes it.

"Oh look at the stretch in this material."
"You can't get quality like this."
"These colors are amazing, look how it sparkles."

Ahh, pure bliss. It's like a morphine drip. When I have trouble sleeping? It's on 24 hours a day. Just flip it on and I'm out like a baby.

Hey, Colbert and Stewart are back. They're shadows of their former selves, but still pretty enjoyable. And Keith Olbermann does a show every night on MSNBC that's very good, scathing and funny. That's some damn good reality TV right there. And Reno 911 just started a new season, I see.

April's not too far away now. Hang in there, Frakkin'. Don't give up. Stay with us! Fight, damn you! FIIIIIIIIIIGHT!

Have no fear. GWC has and will get us through!! Thanx Audra, Chuck, and Sean for keeping the world sane and free of reality TV and the Home Shopping Network.

Well...that last part is just for me.

Stay Strong, Padawan. The Dark Side has many faces.
Remember, fear leads to anger, anger leads to hatred, hatred leads to suffering, and beyond that...Oprah !!

OMG, checked out the Trunk Monkey series !!! LMFAO !! In an empty house I'm giggling to myself. Dog thinks I'm nuts.

"Just breathe with the monkey..."

Fantastic! I'm definitely getting the Trunk Monkey Chaperone Edition when my girls hit their teenage years. (Though I'm partial to the Trunk Monkey Theft Prevention System myself: "because sometimes, getting your car back is not enough." heh-heh)

Speaking of Padawans, if you haven't checked these out, you owe it to yourself to do so:

That's the channel w/Suzann Summers and her crazy antics. They'll be making fun of her on the soup. When it comes back on.

It's Cat Head Theater's production of Hamlet, about 3 1/2 minutes long. Hysterical!! :D

Audra, you ARE the coolest! You found a way to introduce Shakespeare to my 7 and 5 year old. They loved it!!

First there was Marge and the sparkly sweater set from QVC, then there was Trunk Monkey and Kitty Shakespeare...Now there is Japanese Game Shows!! Wait for the slapping machine. It's well worth the price of admission.

Trying to keep sane with more youtube fun

I haven't seen this one in a while. How many sci-fi references can you find?

It's got a blue chick with three breasts singing Aretha. What more could you ask for?
